But somewhere along the way, it stopped working.

Maybe you're facing a major life transition, feeling distant from your partner, carrying the weight of cultural expectations, or struggling with anxiety and self-doubt.

This is a space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and move toward a life that feels like yours.

You’ve spent your life adapting, achieving, and meeting expectations.

A winding road through a dense forest with sunlight filtering through the trees, casting shadows on the pavement and fallen leaves.

Do any of these resonate with you?

The excitement of pregnancy or new motherhood came with emotions you weren't prepared for.

You and your partner love each other, but lately it feels like you're speaking different languages.

You've spent your life balancing two worlds, and you're tired of feeling like you don't fully belong in either.

On paper, you’ve done everything right, but somehow still feel like something is missing.

The life you want isn't out of reach.
Sometimes you just need support to find your way there.

Joanna Maung, Licensed Psychologist

As a self-identified daughter of immigrants, I understand firsthand how culture, family, and life transitions shape who we are — and who we're trying to become.

My approach is grounded in the belief that understanding where we've come from helps us move toward where we want to go. That means exploring your story with honesty and compassion, while building practical tools that support real, lasting change.

Perinatal Mental Health

The transition into parenthood can bring anxiety, grief, and deep questions about identity. Whether you're trying to conceive, pregnant, or newly postpartum, you don't have to carry it alone.

Couples Therapy

Many couples come to therapy feeling stuck in the same arguments or disconnected from each other. Together, we'll work toward deeper connection and more constructive ways of navigating conflict.

Asian American Mental Health

Growing up between cultures means carrying family expectations while trying to find your own voice. This work explores identity, intergenerational patterns, and what it means to navigate life between two worlds.

High-Functioning Anxiety

You may look fine on the outside while quietly struggling with self-doubt, perfectionism, or the feeling that you're never quite enough. Together, we'll explore what's driving that pressure and build a more sustainable way forward.
